NOTE: THIS LAB IS NOW IN PROGRESS.
This lab is dedicated to the application of paratheatre techniques towards the choreography of a dreaming ritual in a non-performance climate of self-work and asocial group interaction. The first eight sessions will focus on learning and practicing the basic techniques of this medium in context to three areas of ritual work (see section below). The final ten sessions will focus on constructing and executing the dreaming ritual itself.

THREE AREAS OF WORK
In addition to the ongoing work of recalling movements from dreams towards their application into a dreaming ritual, the following three areas of paratheatre work will continue throughout this lab:
SHADOW WORK
Those ritual forms addressing the exposure and excavation of unconscious, and often self-destructive, complexes into the light of day for their transformation into more creative expression and play. This also includes exposing movement cliches and other unconscious, habitual reactions. This can be partially accomplished by technique work.
TECHNIQUE WORK
The structural integrity of this ritual technology is maintained by a web of techniques that include: No-Form, Polarizations, Contact Point, Verticality, The Warm-Up Cycles, Resonance, Service, Surrender, Containment, Immersion, Precision, Sanctification, Spatial Awareness, Jogging Forms, Ritual Actions, Sourcing, Prayer. The purpose of technique work is to develop a more sustaining care and precision in the expression of source work.
SOURCE WORK
Without the capacity to give oneself totally to a given source, force or archetype, our fully embodied participation is frustrated. Source work nurtures the talent for direct access to, expression and embodiment of, whatever sources of energy are being accessed and engaged. The sources to be explored in this lab will directly and/or indirectly serve the stamina, resiliency and power of the energetic body and its expression through stillness, physical movements, actions, gesture and sound.
